It’s another Monday!

I’m very excited about my first weigh in!  I lost 5.8 pounds.  I was a little shocked that I had lost that much, but I recall since it’s the first week that my body is trying to adjust to the changes I’m making.  I’m sure it won’t be this much next week…but I’m getting closer to my 10%!

Now, if everything else can fall into place…tree fell on  Saturday because of the wind…no electricity at my house for the time being.  And my water heater still has to be replaced! 

I’m having more trouble…

than I expected adjusting to the points!  I will get it, I’m sure.  I’ve got to figure out a better system at the moment!  I think my drive is not helping…I drive an hour and a half in and back home.  By the time I get home, I’m not hungry and I still have points to spare!  Any suggestions??  I really don’t want to stay late at the office so I can eat nor do I want to eat at 10:00 which is about the time I got hungry last night.   I seem to be doing better with my Fruits and Veggies and milk, but I just have to get this all situated so I can try to make sure I can work my workout in.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

On a more positive note…I got a compliment from the HR person this morning!  It’s the little things that make a difference!  Thanks for stopping by all and I hope everyone is doing well!

Day 3 of my new journey!

Well, I did give in and have a Dr. Pepper, but only after checking and accounting for the points in my WW food log.  I wound up having a pretty bad day yesterday…wound up with 10 points left yesterday and not getting in my milk or all my fruits and veggies.  However, with new resolve, I got up this morning, had my frosted mini wheats with a cup of milk and sat down to plan my food for the day!  I’m bound and determined this is not going to be a waste of money!    Now if I could just feel like I’m getting some rest at night!   I’m sure it will get better once I can find a water aerobics location or can start on something that won’t be too hard on my knee…I may have to start slow, but at least it’s a start!

It’s Monday…and day 2 of my new start on WW

I have decided, although it increased my weight on my tickler, that I would go by the weight that they show for me when I weigh in at Weight Watchers on Saturdays.  My leader seems to be a pretty good one!  I’m very excited about starting again!  It’s just going to be an adjustment.  I did pretty well with my points yesterday, but today seems to be a little bit harder to do…I’ve got a caffiene headache…and I don’t drink diet drinks I can’t handle the aftertaste!  I just hope this passes soon…I know I can have it…I just have to count those points too.  I want my first week to be a good week!  

Well, I made a decision!

After going to the doctor and posting my blog on here (thank you for your words of wisdom everyone!), I have decided to look for a water aerobics class…unfortunately, I can’t seem to find anything like the one we have at home and all those classes are too early in the day with my office hours and drive.  It seems that I may have to join a health club to be able to do the water aerobics.  I did, however, look up some PT exercises to strengthen my knee and my ankle and will start on those soon.  A friend of mine and I talked on Monday and we have decided to start Weight Watchers!  Our first meeting is on Saturday about 45 minutes from home.  I did well on it before, so I’m really looking forward to it this time!  I hope everyone had a great Valentine’s Day!
